Big Dog hobbled out of The Lakeside and we look forward to Day 3!

The main interest for us yesterday was to see how the Performance Darts' new signing Adam Smith-Neale would get on. Despite some positive chats with BigDog he faced an uphill battle with his injury and the pain he was in.

He got a fantastic amount of support with a lot of players empathising with the situation he was in. He can say he has played at the home of world darts and can now focus on getting his foot healed and then moving forward.

Overall it was a good day of darts. The stars of the show were Richard Veenstra (and Nigel Heydon) and of course Fallon Sherrock.

Today sees the other big name PDC player, Andy Hamilton making the switch back to the BDO. He takes on David Cameron. We have been long time admirers of Willem Mandigers and he can give Paul Hogan a game.

Tonight the Unterbuchner/Thompson game will be a good one. I was very impressed with Thompson and he possibly deserved a little more credit for his performance yesterday than he received.

Anastasia takes on one of our former sponsored players, Laura Turner. Laura is a brilliant player and if the Anastasia from the Ally Pally turns up then be prepared for a “shock”. Jim Williams should make short work of Roger Janssen and then Day v Reynolds should be a fast paced, all action game to finish things off! I can’t wait!

Afternoon Session

Anastasia Dobromyslova 3/14 v Laura Turner 4/1
